College of Creative Arts
The College of Creative Arts is a national leader in innovative design, scholarship and research across a range of creative disciplines in design and fi ne art. The College’s Auckland School of Design is based in Albany Village and its offerings include two unique majors in the Bachelor of Design honours degree: Transport Design with marine and land transport design courses and Integrated Design, where creative design project- based learning involves graphics, digital media, product design and the commercial environment.
An honours degree in fi ne arts and additional design majors in fashion, fashion and business, industrial design, photography, spatial design, textile design, visual communication design (advertising, digital media, graphic design, illustration) are available on the Wellington campus.

Massey University and Victoria University of Wellington, through combined strengths, are the New Zealand School of Music. The School houses New Zealand’s leading musicians, composers and musicologists. Students can study a full range of musical genres with opportunities to collaborate in performance, composition, research and teaching. The Jazz Performance major, offered in both Auckland and Wellington, is unique in New Zealand. Its purpose is to produce jazz musicians who are able to perform with skill and artistry on their instrument, and demonstrate an understanding of the historical, stylistic and social context of the music they perform.

Accommodation
Our extensive Recreation Centre is unequalled among New Zealand universities. The Centre is open for all to enjoy: students, staff, alumni and the community. This 4,500 square metre facility is designed to meet a comprehensive range of recreational, sporting and health and fi tness needs.
12 month student membership is available at a very competitive rate (once enrolled at Massey University Albany) – currently $132.
Meet the Recreation Centre staff and take a tour of the facilities. Watch or participate in an aerobics class, enjoy a free workout, or simply witness the typical events that occur on a daily basis.
Our Albany campus accommodation offers self-catered accommodation in 3, 4 or 7 bedroomed apartments, all within walking distance of campus.
All apartments are fully furnished with a modern kitchen, 2 or more bathrooms, and full laundry facilities.
A single bed, chair, desk and lamp are provided in each room.
Catch the shuttle bus from the East Precinct and take a tour through the student accommodation on offer at our two sites: Lucas Creek and Millennium Village. Shuttle buses are operational, and villages are open between 12 noon and 2pm.
From 2011, rental rates will be as follows:
• $154.50 for a 51-week tenancy
• $191.00 for a 42-week tenancy
The Accommodation Co-ordinator is available in the Library to answer any questions you may have about your accommodation requirements.
Special Offer
Join the Recreation Centre as a community member for only $649 for a full year’s membership (usually $700). This offer expires 15 August 2010.
